Photography

Joe is an expert in photography for over 20 years. Over the years, Joe had developed his own style of photography techniques and styles. He has worked with professionals like editors, art directors, designers for the use of his images. In the school arena, he has garnered himself to be one of the well-known photography instructor. Joe set-up his photography company, Pixelwave Productions in 2006 and Ink Avenue in 2010.

 

Joe began lecturing on photography and teaching students the techniques of the 'digital photography era'. His earlier years, using film and darkroom printing, gave him an enviable insight into how to create images rather than just capture them.

 

Joe continues to share his passion and knowledge for photography through his of workshops and his goal is to deliver in an informative and entertaining way. 

Photography Courses
Through the Visual Arts curriculum, Joe equip all his pupils with the skills and knowledge of the art of photography and design. It is design to empower the pupils to take charge and be in the forefront of capturing school events and other activities through meaningful pictures.​​

 

Pupils will also have the opportunity to learn various technical aspects of handling a digital camera and its functions. In addition, they will be train to create and design posters and montages using various design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

There are many benefits that students can experience in their journey of learning photography. Besides acquiring a new skill, they gain new confidence in discovering themselves and thereby, boosting their self-esteem. It also requires students to display their planning and presentation skills which allow them to be creative and innovative.
